A special thanks to all the volunteers! This is an important meet for YMCA Swimming and and the meet could not be held without the efforts of the Shark family. Our willingness to provide the needed volunteers to run a meet of this size at an away location is appreciated by all concerned with the Y-States meet - plus the Sharks benefit financially for those efforts though a sharing of the meet fees earned. Thanks for a job well done!

Car Wash II Even Better!

SYS travel trips costs this year will be reduced by $965 because our Sharks swimmers raised $915 in car wash donations on Saturday and $50.00 from the kettle corn proceeds. Add this money to the previous $688 from Car Wash I and the Sharks are on their way to making their championship travel trips more affordable.

As noteworthy as our Sharks fundraising on Saturday were the comments about our swimmers from people who donated at the car wash. These strangers were genuinely impressed by the Sharks teamwork, motivation, and behavior on display. Nice job Sharks!

Car Wash III is slated for February 4 and will include a Valentines Day themed bake sale. We really need Shark parents to help out and bake a Valentine goodie to sell in addition to parents to staff the bake sale from 11 am to 2 pm at the YMCA. Please contact Pam or Bill Wall if you can bake or help out on February 4.
